Me and Bobby Yan in Kabuhayang Swak na Swak

This weekend I was the guest co-host in Kabuhayang Swak na Swak, Bayan Production's TV show about business and entrepreneurship. This was originally hosted by Amy Perez and Gilbert Remulla. Gilbert is now running for a seat in the Senate. Amy, who hosted this show from day one has moved to host the craziest show on daytime tv - Face to Face in TV5. Everyone is talking about it. It's the local version of Jerry Springer, except that the conflicts and confrontations are real-life barangay drama. I haven't seen it yet. So the new Swak na Swak is hosted by Bobby Yan and (for now) different co-hosts.

The "swak na swak" hand signal. Bobby and I rehearsed it a few times and got it at first try.

I made a few mistakes because it's not easy memorizing scripts in Tagalog. But it's TV so you only see the edited/perfected version. Here's what you don't see... that we work under the sun at 12 noon. Whoa!

Makeshift sun shades

That it was so hot, I could see beads of sweat on Bobby's forehead

The jokes in between takes

The cafe had the cutest clock. It's such a cute idea. I think I'll do this using my daughter's food erasers.

Kabuhayang Swak na Swak airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00am in ABSCBN and in The Filipino Channel.
