Next week, I hit that huge milestone birthday. I'm still processing it... I think I need therapy. Just kidding.
Meanwhile I'm working on something for you. I'm compiling my list of "Daphne's Favourite Things" to share with you, my dear readers. We will play a little game starting next week. These are pretty fabulous and luxurious gifts. Just a teaser.... jewelry, makeup, skincare, scents, more jewelry. Please continue to check the site next week. Some of them will involve speed.
There is just one thing I ask of you on my birthday. Please go to the
Unicef Philippines website and learn about the organization.

Here are some ways you can help our children thru UNICEF:
1. Buy UNICEF's beautiful greeting cards, toys and T-shirts. Check out the catalog
here. Call (0632)901-0160 or email plmmanila@unicef.org for more information.
2. Give the gift of clean water to 10,000 children A one-time gift of Php400 can already provide 16 children suffering from severe diarrhea with ORS treatment in combination with zinc supplements.
Zinc supplements cost only 1 peso per tablet and prevent the recurrence of diarrhea in the next 2-3 months after the first episode. Or if you feel you can do more, please consider a one-time contribution of Php800 or more which can help provide a shallow well and water pump for 1 community so that residents can have access to safe, drinking water. Donate by credit card
here.

3. Be a Champion for Children by joining Unicef's
Facebook page and sign up for the Champion for Children program
here. You can also do this at Unicef booths at the malls.
To be a Champion for Children is to be a champion for change. All funds raised will be used to help children in the Philippines. Here’s how:
Many children die before their 5th birthday, but your Php600 / month can help 6 children survive by providing life-saving medical treatments.
Most children don’t get to finish the 6th grade, but your Php 500 / month can help 5 children stay in school with books and basic supplies.
Php 20.00 per day = Php 600 per month
Php 16.67 per day = Php 500 per month
Please do me this favour. I will consider it the best birthday present ever.
Let me know how you've supported Unicef by leaving a message.
Next week, we do Daphne's Favourite Things.
