Daphne sat alone in the darkness of her vast room. Even surrounded by all of her precious things, it all felt so empty. She had locked the door and refused to come out and she wasn't about to budge. There was nearly everything she needed locked away with her - a bathroom, a few snacks, water. There was no way she was going to coming out.
Every picture frame had been thrown aside and most of her books lay askew on the plush carpet. She didn't want to see anything that reminded her of this life she was apart of. This world of fortune and privilege came with a steep price - one she wasn't willing to pay anymore. But that didn't seem to matter to her father or anyone around her. She was their prisoner now.
And the people she cared about would pay the price for her rebellion if she wasn't careful. First, Tippy, her house elf, had been lost in the attack. No doubt carelessly slaughtered by her father or one of his friends for her disobedience. She felt a sob catch in her throat but it was nothing compared to the fear of losing Terry.
T,
I am okay. Please do not come looking for me. It's too dangerous.
Please give me a sign that you made it out alive. Please let me know that you're okay.
Always, D.
