While Daphne had said she needed a warm bed and tea, she quickly realized it was wine and her friends she needed. She had never been one to spend a night alone or go to bed early. The thought of missing out on something would keep her awake in bed for hours anyway. Over the last few weeks she had seen little of her house mates outside of class.
Late that night, Daphne drew a fire and pulled out a bottle of wine. She curled up with her sister Astoria and listened while she told her all about the third year drama. While she would have told anyone else it was petty, Daphne secretly loved hearing the gossip.
They laughed and drank, hoping more would join them soon.
