An Untitled Drabble
Pairing: Red X/Robin
Rating: PG 13
Warnings: Two underaged boys
Spoilers: Revved Up as the drabble takes place right after it.
Summary: Robin gives his thanks to Red X.

A pale masked figure crouches in the distance hesitantly, as his dark cape blends him with the darkness surrounding him. In his right hand, he holds a burgundy shaded X, and he taps it patiently on the floor. He is waiting for someone.

“Red X,” a boy in bright yellow and green states softly as he lands a feet away from the other boy. He carries his cold, metal case, places it onto the floor beside the young thief, and sinks down to the pavement.

“So you won the race, kid,” Red X smirks, turning his face towards the boy.

Robin shrugs, but is unable to stop himself from letting out a small grin.

“Yeah, you watched the whole thing didn’t you?” asks the Boy Wonder, his cape fluttering around him.

Red X lets out a little chuckle.

“Well, since I was there…yeah. Why wouldn’t I?”

Red X had meant it as a joke or a jab to the Boy Wonder, but it comes out soft and caring. He opens his mouth to say something rude to put Robin back in his place, but stops. Instead the masked thief and the crusader listen to the silence of the breezes for what seems to be ages.

“Thanks,” Robin finishes simply, turning his smile towards Red X, but the black masked boy waves it off.

“Don’t worry about it, cutie,” he teases, hoping to get some sort of reaction out of Robin, even though for once, the suave thief isn’t sure what to expect. He’s not even sure what he wants Robin’s reply to be.

Robin could be icy and distant, but Red X had seen the way Starfire used to make him smile. He wasn’t like Slade and never stalked the boy, but he saw enough to understand. The Boy Wonder did have a soft, tender side.

His cheeks tint pink for only a second, but Red X notices the change. The young thief can think of a thousand good reasons why he should never ever get involved with a superhero, especially one that runs around in traffic light colors, but he tosses all logic onto the back burner for a second. He grabs the other boy’s shirt, and kisses him firmly on the lips. After all, he was sure that if Robin wasn’t enjoying it or if the kiss made him feel uncomfortable, he would be pushed away.

However, the crusader doesn’t push him away. Robin snakes his arms around Red X’s back and pulls him closer. The kiss is wet and fierce, but at the same time …tender. It’s nothing like what Red X expected it to be. Robin’s kiss isn’t innocent nor chaste. Instead his lips are hot and demanding, licking and pressing onto his own. He has to pause to let out a small moan escape from the friction that Robin is making just from massaging their lips together.

The masked thief explores Robin’s dark, mussed strands as he combs and rakes his hands through, while his lips surrender themselves to Robin’s smooth ones. He’s never imagined the yellow spandex wearing hero to be quite so….demanding…but he can go with it.

Author's Note: I know most of us wouldn't say Robin is exactly innocent, but I think Red X would find Robin innocent in comparison to himself. That may be just my interperation though.
