Clover Point - Summer 2 - Kratz family
Hello!
I meant to update sooner, but just as for last chapter, real life kept me really busy... The important thing is to keep going, even if it takes longer!
Today, we will meet Bastian Blythe again. Last time, he moved out from his family household to start a life with Ive Kratz (and took her name when they got married). She delivered their first child, David, right at the end of the season. Let's see what's up with them now...
As soon as David was born, Bastian rushed to meet him.
"Hey there, little boy! I'm your Daddy! That's right!"
And here we have the traditionnal family snapshot, with Bastian on the left and Ivy hold baby David. Let's hope this family gets bigger soon! :)
Althought his job in entertainment was relatively well paid, Bastian decided to write his first novel. He thought that more money couldn't hurt. After all, they were going to move to a bigger house, if they wanted to have more children.
Bastian's novel sold really well and earned him almost $3K. Well done!
"Yes, Davy, you are the sweetest little boy in the world! Yes, you are!"
I love to watch sims bathe their babies in the sink... awww!
Even if Ivy was super thrilled to be a mother, is was not said that she would let herself go. She really wanted to get fit again, so she went for a jog. Talk about motivation!
"Oh yeah! Look at my biceps! Ha!"
Yes, she's really proud of herself. I would be too, in her place.
Bastian also did his part in taking care of David.
But he was still the family's bread winner and had to go to work. He's not too far off the top of the entertainment career, though.
Bastian need a lot of friends to get promotions, and Ivy was glad to help by talking on the phone a lot, since she was home anyways.
It was helpful, too, as Bastian came back a headliner, with a great bonus! Look at how happy he is!
That night, Bastian called his father and asked if he would babysit. Hayden was more than glad to meet David and help his son and daughter in law.
But Bastian and Ivy didn't need a babysitter because they were out on a date... no! Instead, with the extra money Bastian earned, they opened their very first business.
This is Kr'Artz Supplies and as you can guess, it sell art supplies. ;) I was wondering what kind of business they would open, but since Ivy's OTH is arts, I figured why not, right?
It's not much right now... but I'm hoping it will get better and we can make something really neat out of it.
Bot Bastian and Ivy started selling stuff.
"I'm telling you, sir, you won't regret it. You're an artist at heart, I can tell."
"You think so? Wow! Thanks! Okay, I'll get it!"
In no time at all, Bastian had earned his bronze sales badge.
Ivy was not as sucessfull as her husband, unfortunately.
"Oh yes, this is a great piece to have and display. Mmm-hmm."
"Are you kidding me, lady? This is a tiny! Don't push it!"
Darn.
The store still got a few stars and reached rank 1.
Bastian took care of the restocking...
... while Ivy managed the cash register.
"Did you find everything you were looking for?"
"Oh yes! That nice man over there really helped me find my path! Thank you!"
When they got back home, they realized that Hayden was gone and had left baby David alone on the grass in front of the house. This is not good. They got a warning from the social services... oops!
After a good night's sleep, Bastian invited one of his coworkers over and they had a blast together.
As for Ivy, she made good use of David's naptime by painting. This makes her happy.
Aww, look, besties mom and Davy! :)
While Bastian was at work, Ivy invited Primrose Binchy over. They have a lot in common, after all.
"It's so nice to see you!"
"You, too! How's Davy doing? And you, not too exhausted?"
"Oh, he's great! And, yes, of course I'm tired, but it's all worth it. How's your little Louisa?"
"Perfect! But it's nice to be able to go out for a few hours, that's for sure!"
(We'll be going to the Binchy family, next, don't worry!)
That night, Bastian came back in a fancy car and announced that he was now at the top of the entertainment career. Woo!
Soon, he'll get to change for his true dream career... as a slacker ;)
But before that, it was time to go back to Kr'Artz Supplies.
Bastian went on his own, because Ivy was sleeping. Plus, she had to stay home with David. We don't want to have another warning from the social services!!!
Elisabeth came by the store, but she didn't see to be in a good mood.
"Mom, what's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing really... I don't know. I think I miss you."
"Oh, mom. You know what? Tomorrow is Davy's birthday. How about you all come over and celebrate with us? Would you like that?"
"Yes, that sounds nice. I'll be there."
Bastian's sisters also came for David's birthday and they were both crazy about their nephew.
I think MacKayla's ready to be a mother... ;)
And so, with the whole Blythe family around, David was brought to his cake by his mother.
And here is our little boy, all grown up... and with his dad's nose! Ha!
David Kratz is turning out to be a Bastian mini-me... we'll see how he grows up later. Anywhoo, he's a sloppy Gemini (2/10/10/7/6).
Bastian was really happy the party was a success and he was glad he got to see his family, too. Elisabeth was not the only one missing the old days...
"Honey, now that Davy's a toddler, what do you say about giving him a brother or a sister?"
"Bastian, you read my mind."
I haven't mentionned it yet, but Bastian had been permaplat for a while now. And that's great because it means he can make super milk whenever we need it so that David can glow and learn faster ;)
"Ugh!"
What's that, Ivy? Oh, you're sick... Well, I guess that's good news, no?
Now let's go get you clean...

Oh... poor Ivy. This pregnancy is harder that the first...
At least, Bastian is there to help teach David to walk...
... and to talk.
Bastian was also the one who made sure the store was opened once in a while. He's a pretty good salesman, too and got his silver badge quickly.

That day, Ivy was in a good enough mood to go spend a few hours at Kr'Artz Supplies.
She brought the store to rank 2. Good work, Ivy! You can go rest now.
"Oh my gosh, I'm EXHAUSTED."
"But you look so fine, honey."
"Really?"
"Yes. Come here, you sexy lady!"
And that's a wrap for this season with the Kratz! We'll meet the new family member next time. Will it be a boy or a girl?
