The Rices first summer!
Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great day! Here is another update from my Clover Point BACC! Yes, I'm much more productive with this than with my matriarchy, which has been on hiatus for a year... But, no plot means faster play, and just more fun! That, and I'm on vacation, so I have loads of time! *happy dance*
Anyway, so last time, we met Walter Rice who opened Clover Point first clothing store, Fancy Pants. Walter also met Carla Goldman, who he fastly fell in love with. She moved in (with pretty money), they got married, and together they brought Fancy Pants up to rank 3. Now, let's see if they can give us babies...
So, I added a room for Walt and Carla at the back of the house, because I can't have them sleeping in the living room forever, ya know! Plus, they had the money.
The upstairs is now the nursery. This will be the kids' kingdom! Because, I'm hopeful, Carla is bound to get pregnant sooner or later. And I know that having sims going up and down the stairs to take care of their children is not practical at all, but I don't want to change the house. I like it, it's so cute! So, this is how it will be! Ha!
Walter and Carla decided to join forces once again and spent a few hours at Fancy Pants. Carla got her bronze sales badge, you go girl!
And they also got a good review! It's not The Best of the Best, but since I'm still new at businesses, I'm happy. So was Carla!
Hey Hayden! I'm sorry, but we'll have to say goodbye to you before you spend everything you have on flip flops.
Back home, after getting some sleep, Carla fished for a while.
Until she felt weird...
She was wondering... could she finally be...?
Uh-uh! Pregnant! You certainly are, missy! Woot!
And because I didn't want her to experience the early contractions as Elisabeth did, Carla got to relax for a few hours. She daydreamt, mostly about other guys. *roll eyes*
Still, it was no use, Carla still got sick. Again. Poor sweetie...
She was quite happy to see her first (invisible in this outfit, argh) bump.
So was Walter. This is one of my favorite interactions :)
After a jog, Walter decided to make spaghetti, but as you can see, it was not a success.
"Darn, I burnt it..."
Yeah, you better look disappointed, you did not even cause a fire! Useless sim...
That night, feeling better, Carla did some digging... and she found her 2nd treasure chest! Did I mention that I LOVE her?
The Rices went back to Fancy Pants. Walter got his restocking bronze badge, Carla got her silver sales badge and they got the store up to rank 4. Good work, guys!
I found the bin kicker!! It's Alon Dennis! Who is Alon Dennis? No fracking idea... but I do NOT appreciate him. You sir, will never be married into this bacc! Ha!
Then, it was finally time! The first Rice baby was born!
This is Oliver Rice. He has his mother's skintone and his father's brown hair and grey custom eyes. No mascara!
He's named after Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens.
Carla wanted to spend as much time as possible with her son...
... so Walter headed to Fancy Pants by himself. But he soon got overwhelmed, so he hired Ti-Ning Trottier to help out. What kind of name is Ti-Ning, I ask you? Let's just call him Tim... Anyway, he has no talent badges and thus, only asks for $16/hour. With him minding the cash register, Walter was able to get his gold sales badge.
"You know, Carla, things are going pretty well at the store... Whaddaya say we try to give Oliver a little brother or a little sister?"
"I thought you'd never ask!"
Oh, and guess what? Do-do-do-do do-DO! ;)
Walter's a great dad! He's actually the one who spends the most time with Oli.
In the morning, Carla got confirmation of what she had suspected.
"Walt, we're going to have another baby!"
"How wonderful! I hope it's a girl! But wait... does that mean that you won't be able to wear that sexy black granny underwear anymore?"
"Not for a while, no..."
I sent Walter and Carla on a date to raise their bars. Oliver Cameron is also friend with the family, he's the lucky one serving as "bank" so that I can take care of the uni funds. But his lurking is unsettling...
In a good mood, the couple went back to the store. Walter really wanted to reach Rank 5 and thanks to Carla's sales talent, his wish came true!
Ooooh! A blue bag! Hello, sir! It's a pleasure doing business with you!
I then had to install a second register, because Carla still has no badge and she just can't keep up. Much better like this.
Back home, after getting the first belly bump, Carla made dinner.
Still no fires. Humpf. Can you BELIEVE that I've played SIX seasons and that I still have not had a single fire? This is depressing.
But on to more joyful things, it was time to see who Oliver looks like!
"I'm sure he'll be as hot as you, Walt, rrrawr!"
Ugh. So... yeah, the mix is... interesting. Oliver looks mean with his eyebrows, but he's not that bad. He's a Gemini, just like mommy and daddy and his personnality is 5/7/10/3/3. Okay, so I guess he is a little mean...
Let's hope it all blends in when he get older, allright? At least, he has class! He wears a tuxedo, nothing less!
