So I'm having an amazing night on soulseek.
First, I happened to come across Broken Social Scene's set at Coachella. I've been searching for this for so long and am sooo glad I finally have it. I have a ton of great live boots, but theres something special about having the show you were actually at. Especially a show so amazing as this one, probably the best show I've ever (and maybe will ever [probably not]) been to. I remember being so tingly and misty as they finish Anthems for a 17 Year Old Girl, James Shaw proposes to his wife, and they go into Almost Crimes. Totally classic.
Secondly, todays theme has kind of been reviving my lost passion for At the Drive-In. Theres nothing quite like rocking out to Vaya around noon when no ones home. Anyways, we all (and by we all I mean anyone with a serious passion for atdi) have seen the Big Day Out videos for Arc Arsenal and Pattern Against User. And we all were floored by the raw energy, but were left wondering what happened after those 2 songs. I had heard things about them walking offstage because of the rowdy crowd, but wondered how far into the set, and what actually pushed them to do it. Well I very luckily came across a FULL BDO video, complete with the entire set and pre-interviews. Its amazing. Cedric is a fucking nut.
I miss this band so much. Don't take amazing bands for granted! Sparta is meh. Mars Volta post tremulant is meh. I want you back. Please!
