It's funny, how the world will keep turning,
Long after the bad things are done, and the worst has come to pass,
And the tears are all cried, and the rain all shed
I wonder though, just how far I really must go to see the end of the world.
Red skies and the crashing waves,
And a thousand songbirds taking the last migration there will ever be,
While the millions drive to work as usual.
We always envision the final day as something lucid,
Where every man and woman and child looks up in silence
Or perhaps runs screaming, as if panic will make the end less sufferable.
But perhaps it's much more simple than that.
Like something of the waking moments of a dream, that are forgotten
Lost in time without hesitation
Lost beyond the horizon of the only eyes ever to bear wittness to it's wonder.
I suppose then, that the world will not end quickly
Neither will it end slowly, but instead leaving just enough time to witness the dawn and the dusk,
Somewhere in the world.
It will leave just enough time for one single pair of eyes, standing on the top of a cliff,
Far above the ocean, as the waves come crashing in,
To gaze in wonder at the red skies, and humble blackness of the expanse beyond
And watch the stars die out.
Well, while I'm here, I might as well include some good audio to acompany this.. ^_^
As you may well notice, the focus is acoustics this time. Well worth the time to dl I would say, since I tried to stay away from wierd stuff, and go for the just plain awesome mellowly muffin-ness.
