So you must have heard by now that the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland is wreaking complete and utter havoc on European air space. It's no fun, believe me, having an entire continent's transportation system collapse, but at least it's giving people something to talk about...

Wikipedia page and click where it says "listen" to hear the name actually pronounced. It sounds sort of like mumbling and sort of like "ey-ve-ley-ve." Amazing.

taking a bus home from Rome, the closest she could make it by plane on her way back from the US. Not a private limo, not a specially chartered low-flying propeller plane, but a bus. You rock, Merkel!
