Fate has a funny way of kicking you in the ass
Well Maria go ahead and say it, I told you so. When I was making all those jokes the other night about "jesus's package" you said god would punish me....and dammit...i think he has...in the form of my job. Or maybe it wasn't that at all, maybe it was all those times i wouldn't return my boss's calls, or was short and irritated with her, or maybe it was the time I didn't mail her my paperwork. My guess is because of that I get the Shit demo's, and by shit i mean horribly....horribly embarassing.
And what is so embarrasing you might ask, well let me let you in on my horror. This weekend, I get to demonstrate Glad press n seal...that in itself would not be so bad...BUT...and theres always a but. I get to wear, Overalls...a glad shirt...a cap...and a toolbelt...thats right folks..and while i am wearing this etrocity in public, I will be flanked by two large polls...a banner...and many other ungodly items, which will no doubt call all attention to me.
That alone would be enough to make me cringe, but then there is the 6 pages of paper work to memorize. Included in the pages are scripts, and many demonstrations i have to do With the press and seal. Now don't get me wrong, its a good product and all, but some of the things i have to do to prove how great it is...I know frome experince don't normally work. So when My secret shopper comes to evaluate my overall, Glad shirt, and tool-belt wearing self, I will look incapable to do my job, not to mention ridiculous. And thankfully I am so short so that the overalls and tshirt will be way to big on me.
It was Very kind of the Glad company to make me wear the outfit, and do the extra paperwork for them.
Man...sometimes I love being an independed contracter..I appreciate how it means they can make us do whatever they want, for as little as they want. Thank you Glad....
