i've been tied up with a lot of engagements since coming home. unfortunately (or probably fortunately...), i didn't get into the gym list for may. this leaves me with no exercise and a lot of time to catch up with family and friends.
given that it was jon's last day on the 30th, i needed to come to the office and meet up with him for that much-anticipated lunch. we went onto a very jovial dinner that evening, where a lot of the stress were let out and a lot of unwinding happened. i honestly missed these folks.
the following day, i met up with the kix9 to celebrate ria's bachelorette party at vanita lounge. it was a cool, lingerie-themed event, sponsored by house of vanita. i had so much fun the whole afternoon: playing games, eating, laughing with good friends and eventually, trying on new stuff. let's just say i now have a lot of starbucks credit charges. :))
this was, of course, followed by THE wedding. hehe, so just last saturday, ria and jay tied the knot at archbishop's palace in mandaluyong. reception followed at valle 6 clubhouse. lynne caught the bouquet this time (hahahahahahahaha :)) luvyah lynnie! :)), while the rest of the ladies had a swell time chatting up a storm and enjoyed ria's big day. we didn't end here, though... instead, we wore our casual clothes and trekked to ghills to watch iron man 2. i. love. it.
oh! i should've mentioned: i cut my hair! haha, actually, it's supposed to still be long and layered. however, the stylist went a bit overboard with the initial cut. *sigh*. he cut the back part too high for styling... so i ended up going to jun (thank God we found him in valle 2 park) to have my hair 'repaired'. unfortunately, i couldn't keep it at the length i wanted (hay....) and he recommended that i go short again. oh well. at least, i ended up happier with the short hair than the original 'layered' look. (i swear, i looked like kristen stewart in 'the runaways' with the original hair style...)
and then there's also family that i needed some catching up with. so yesterday, we had the babyshower for charm and baby uno. this was actually like a housewarming/surprise baby shower thing which was prepared by ma-an. what effort! and what food! hahaha! i went home with two prizes and some polvoron. i don't think i'd eaten that much merienda since... haha, i actually don't know i've eaten that much for merienda ever! hahaha!
and just this evening, i spent some time with the banananuts. gawd, that was a crazy-fun dinner! we laughed through the updates we had for each other and sighed about the future (particularly the election results). thank you cj for introducing us to bizu's chocolate souffle'! it has become one of my new favorites here in the metro! i ended up getting home by 12mn and logging in to document all these.
hehe, good times.
