Concepts, especially the building blocks of society, should be granted due process just as people should. Innocent until proven guilty on our morality, assuming that our morals can still function despite us, ourselves, being insecure about their justifications keeps society functioning.

In this light, being a good person, while not easy, is by no means complex - you just need to be good. You can evaluate and reevaluate what exactly that means, but until you have solid ground to discredit your past conception (and an equally solid replacement for moral value) there is no reason to assume your intuitive feelings and capacities are in some way flawed.

Am I wrong in this?

[P.S. I will start reading Montaigne this weekend, I think. Also my tennis games are enjoyable, but it seems the only person I can do them regularly with is Carl...it's good for now, but how long before we get bored of each other's style? We need variety.

P.P.S. I am considering sucking it up and reentering the fencing scene, without any AU support. Money is the main obstacle, next is willingness to train regularly...though I have started practicing sky hooks just walking to campus, so maybe it won't be that tough.]
