Time for challenge #4! Remember, all challenges are open forever, so you might want to check out some of our past challenges:
challenge #1,
challenge #2,
challenge #3, if this week's prompts don't appeal.
Word of the Week Challenge
Courtesy of the
Random Word Generator, this week's word is...Intoxicated.
- Challenge: create something that revolves around the theme or idea of intoxicated, intoxication, etc.
Situation Challenge: Alternate Universes
Listen: there's a hell of a good universe next door; let's go. - e.e. cummings
Ours is the only reality of consequence. - Stargate SG-1
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could...
- Robert Frost
- Challenge: Something isn't right. One character (or a group of characters) find themselves trapped in an alternate universe where something is different. Is it a good different or bad different? Is it explained how the characters got themselves into this alternate reality? Or is it left a mystery? Maybe this is Alistair's (rare) chance to play Only Sane Man? Do wacky hijinks ensue? Or do the characters find themselves trapped in a Dark World? Only you can answer that question!
- Challenge: For Want of a Nail AU: The Warden somehow discovers what the world would have been like if they hadn't been picked by Duncan to become a Grey Warden. So...who stops the Blight? Is the world a better place, or a worse place because the Warden wasn't around? What about the companions and the Warden's love interest? How are their lives and personalities different because they never met the Warden? How do these 'different' companions react to the Warden for the first time?
- Challenge: The Mirror Universe AU: The Mirror Universe is a place where good and evil characterizations are reversed. Villains become heroes and heroes become villains. Run with it!
- Challenge: The Classic AU: Take the characters of Dragon Age and place them in another time, place and/or situation. For example: Maybe Zevran is the jaded private investigator in 1930s Los Angeles, and Morrigan is the troublesome dame who walks into his office looking for her lost husband, Alistair... Let your imagination go wild for this one.
- Challenge: The Evil Twin AU: One character finds/discovers/magically gets an evil twin. Optional twist: An evil character gets a good twin. How do people react to the twin? Do people like the twin better than the original? What havoc/harmony does the twin get up to?
