I just realized I havent even posted on this in almost 2 months...
So my grandpa died Saturday, showing Tuesday, funeral Wednesday. And its kind of been the week from hell. We've always been a tight knit family, I see my relatives like twice a week, so this was especially hard. You take alot of things for granted until they're gone, I always naively believed my grandpa would always be there. Sitting at the head of the table every Saturday, making up songs about people, laughing, and having a great time. I never even thought about him not being here, its hard, but I think its brought everyone closer together, so maybe there is a silver lining to everything.
What else...I went to see Bleeding Through and The Comeback Kid a bit ago, awesome show, Ive been way more into hardcore lately, but its slipping back. So many HxC bands get repetitive after awhile that you need a break. Oh! The Twirpentines reformed as SIGNAL HOME! Its gonna be rocktastic! First show is Meadville June 12th. And then June 29th they're playing with The Story Changes(ex-WhenSparksFly) & Solara(ex-weatherfield) at THE HANGOUT, so go to that.
New Taking Back Sunday CD July 27th, I heard the first song off it and I love it! I was deadset against them for awhile, but that songs really really good(Bonus Mosh Pt. II). Also June 1st is Hawthorne Heights release date, and June 29th is the mother of all CD days(Lars & The Bastards, Atreyu, Tiger Army, The Code, and From First to Last)
Today we took my little cousin, Hope, to the Zoo, it was actually a good time, they have all my favorite things there now. Vampire bats, monkeys, and Penguins(yeah thats right, fucking penguins.) They did alot of new stuff, including this stepping stone pond, which Hope proceeded to fall into...
Chris, Carl, & I are having our first real band practice this weekend, we've fucked around with some things before, but we're gonna try to play through all our songs for once. So wish me luck. Later.
