I feel like I'm at a point in time where right now school and life in general is pretty easy, but it's the calm before the storm.
Next week I perform "Gloria" in Manhattan. The next week is Spring Break. Then, as soon as I get back I have all kinds of friends come visit me, my mom is coming, culture shock is going to be happening here on campus, and the Spring Concert starts, so I have shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then I have another weekend of performances the following week. In addition to that, I also have papers to write, assignments for comp class to throw together, etc.
My plans have changed for the summer. I have been selected to be one of the dancers of the Purchase Dance Corps to perform in Hong Kong in June. I will be coming back to New York to rehearse at the very end of May, then I will be in Hong Kong from June 5 - 15th. I'll probably stay in New York for like a week after that, then I will be going back to New Orleans for maybe a week and a half at the end of June. Then in July I'm going to return to Manhattan to do the Taylor program for the entire month. I don't know if I will also be staying the month of August so that I can make a simple adjustment coming back to Purchase, instead of traveling back halfway across the country yet again. It's going to be a busy busy summer, but I'm sooooooooooooo excited about it.
Quincy and I threw a party this weekend, and it was amazing as usual. There were about 60 people in my teensy apartment at any given time. There was stipping on the tables, there was dancing on the chairs, there was drunken people as far as the eye can see. Quincy was fabulous in an ensemble of a velvet blazer, small black underwear, and strappy high heels. The pics are a must see. The fire alarm went off at the end, though... but that's alright because we were about to kick everyone out anyways. I'll post pics of it on facebook whenever i get another second, so be sure to check it out.
I bought Hidden Valley ranch dressing the other day, just for a change. I usually just buy the stop and shop brand, which I find pretty tasty, but I just threw in the Hidden Valley kind because, you know, it's supposed to be delicious and amazing as one of the more expensive brands of salad dressings. Yea, well it's not. It's actually pretty crappy, and tastes more like sour cream than anything.
