I have a couple of holdouts here... Sunny and Josh specifically... love you guys, but I do tend to forget sometimes, if I don't update here then you don't keep up with my life..
so, here is a brief update..
I was in the hospital for a three day stay about three weekends ago.
I was at work when my left arm went numb and I was suddenly very dizzy and had been complaining for several days of a headache. There is a doc in the box right behind my store, so I was walked over there.. and they sent me by ambulance to the hospital, where I was placed into the cardiac part of the ER.. and later admitted into the stroke ward. A weekend filled with tests, lots of tests... and I was released on a monday afternoon..
There official accessment is TIA. However, my primary care, who is my Endocrine Specialist is leaning towards this all being related to a migraine, at this point. I'll still taking it as the serious kick in the pants sign from the universe. I am working with a nutritionist... and making little changes, step at a time kinda time, so they stick... but the more I read up on some stuff and share with peeps.. the more I am tending to believe it might have been migraine related. I have other signs of premenapause shifts in my body.. and I am learning thst there is a huge hormonal shift that definitely impacts folks inclinced to experience migraines.
Something for me to stay aware of, for sure.
so, anyways, I'm fine.. I am doing my program with the goal to lose 50 pounds.. stay tight on my diabetes, walk everyday.. not quite there yet.. I've already changed my diet quite abit in the last few weeks. I've not cut out meat, nor do I intend too, but I have got more conscious of my choices about meat. And living with two primarily vegetarians, I have definitely increased my veges.. especially when Kev and I share meals during the week, while April is traveling.
