Wow, its been a while...
Wanted to post this to FB, but it did not belong there. Wanted to get this down, but not needing the pity party.
I had a friend of mine pass away this week, and it has hit me pretty hard, and its odd, because I was not all that close to David Fetzer really, he was a fantastic guy, and it was always a pleasure to see him when I bothered leaving my house.
His passing has made me realize just how closed off an guarded I have become over the years. A lot of this stems from some mistakes in my past from a few years ago. Those experiences pushed me even further inside of myself. There was an entire group of friends that I never really opened up to, this was during the time I had met David, and he sort of made me remember that time. It was a happy, creative, awesome time that I have not been able to recapture since.
I am hopeful that when Ema and I finish this blasted house project that we will be able to and actually do start having friends over.
I love the idea of the Sunday brunch.
Of drinks with friends.
Of creating a group of creative individuals to laugh and talk and discuss and debate with. Of actually letting down my walls a bit, and let some friends in.
Anyway, that's about it. See you in another year LJ.
