My new job
Today is day 3 at my new job. So far I must say I really like it. The people I work with are super nice. The work is completely different then anything I have ever done before. Which is exactly what I was wanting and expecting. That being said there is definitely a bit of a learning curve when trying to switch to using systems you have never seen or heard of before. But I think I am getting the hang of it for the most part. I have actually done a little real work. Not much as I am still in the learning process. This week is mostly about me learning how to do things the way the Firm likes them done and getting around all the systems.
One of the best things about this job is that it is SO much closer to me than at&t was. I filled up my car Sunday afternoon and did some driving around. After driving it to work Monday and yesterday I was still at half a tank when I got home last night! I would usually be close to filling up at this point.
There is one other thing that surprised me, the Firm follows Fort Worth ISD. Meaning if FWISD is closed due to bad weather, we are closed. If FWISD is delayed in opening, we are delayed. And the time is paid! No more worrying about having to get up 2 hours early for work and fight the morons on the road on those icy days!
