(no subject)
Sometime before summer's out, I want to write something. I'm not sure if it's to be a song, a musical, an instrumental piece, or something entirely different, but I feel a need to respond to my creative side's calling.
Beauty and the Beast rehearsals are going quite well so far. I have realized, though, that full chorus rehearsals are almost 100% exercises in crowd control. I've been doing well with that though, I think. I just hope that, when all's said and done, I've left some kind of positive mark on the cast both musically and personally, and that they've enjoyed the experience.
The orchestra's been playing admirably well, too, especially given that Beauty and the Beast is by far the most demanding and difficult score CYT has done since at least when I started as their drummer in 2002's production of "Bye Bye Birdie".
The band's playing in Times Square in less than two weeks! I'm also going to be in NYC the following weekend with Genevieve and Cate to see Les Miserables!
And I need sleep, as I've barely even had time to breathe lately.
