(no subject)
i've learned a lot about relationships in the past few weeks. one of those is worth sharing just so that there's no confusion here: a relationship between myself and the previously mentioned person who i like is not possible. this is due to a few reasons and can be summed by saying she has her priorities pretty well set.
now, because jon asked what she's like and jess wants details...
i met her through a friend and somehow we got along really well from the start. she is very easily amused (which works well with my attempts at humor), is always magically able to put a smile on my face (which many of you know is not an easy task), is absolutely beautiful, is always there to listen to me, and is somehow able to sense when i need cheering up and will gladly offer to do so (which is a key difference between her and other friends).
so...that's what she's like...with some details.
it's probably also worth mentioning that i disagree with some of her reasons for why there can be no relationship, but her opinion on that shall apparently not be swayed. this is rather frustrating and has been bothering me recently, especially seeing as how i only found out about this impossibility monday morning. luckily this has not interfered with our friendship, which has remained rather strong. i predict it will stay that way for quite some time.
hopefully this doesn't recede into another lovesick episode like the last time i found out about such an impossibility over three years ago...that would be bad, however, we shall see...
to end on a better note, senior year is going pretty well in academia.
