And I don't really participate in the Realms much anymore.
The Realms, while for the most part made of up of young adults, is an *adult* community. There is swearing, drama, and waivers that must be signed (and signed by a legal adult in the case of minor participants.)
That said, there are some people for whom meeting even a minimal criteria for adult behavior seems like a stretch. And there are some who can't manage it at all.
If you can't manage, at the *very* least, to keep yourself from threatening others with physical harm and tossing around homophobic slurs, then you seriously need to sit down and do some thinking about your lack of self control.
Studies have shown that a full third of teens who commit suicide are gay. If you think that's not a big deal because that means 2/3rds of them are straight, then you need the additional information that only about 10 percent of all teens are gay. This means that a gay teen is 300% more likely to commit suicide than a heterosexual teen. A major contributing factor to the depression that gay teens struggle with is the ridicule, taunts, threats, and discrimination that they experience.
If you're part of that contributing factor, regardless of how many excuses you make, you suck.
