So, news from the dating world...I'm dating someone!
It's just dating, nothing really...serious yet. But we've both recognized the potential for it. We met through ComedyWorx, though technically we met at the midnight showing of Watchmen. Anyway, she asked me to take some pictures, headshots, of her for a post-grad apllication thing. We kinda hit it off a bit and have been talking a lot, then we had dinner on Monday. And had lunch on Wednesday. And have been texting a lot (I'm a damned text whore).
Anyway, throughout all of this we never officially titled anything as a date. With each other. Apparently we were both telling others it was a date, but I think since neither of us had said anything, we both just kinda sat and wondered how the other felt. I was planning on officially asking her out after the final showcase show this Saturday, but things rarely go as planned.
My good friend Travis (my twin sister's boyfriend) found out about our meals together and went up to her this evening after improv practice and said: 'So how was your date with Daniel?' Thus spawning an apparently awkward conversation held by her, my mother, my twin sister, and Travis. So it kinda...forced the issue to be discussed tonight. Which we did. We both quite like each other, and have decided to continue just kinda dating for a bit to see if it develops into something more serious. Which I believe it will. More updates on that later.
Also, if you're in the area of downtown Raleigh this Saturday around, oh, say 10:30 (best to show up earlier, though. The house will likely be packed), please stop in for the LAST WEEK OF THE SUPER SPARKLE SHOWCASE! I'm one point out of first, which means if I make up that point and another over the leader then I win over 350 dollars! The more people there for me the better, as the crowd gets to vote to determine some points! Plus it should make you laugh, as all of the contestants are hilarious!
