So I gave in and bought a very very cheap mobile phone. Since I am from across the pond I had to purchase a pay-as-you-go phone which is better than racking up a gigantic bill like I always seem to do. Damnit, I wish I did not live so fucking far away....there are all sorts of events going on at the clubs and pubs on campus that I want to partake in, but since I live miles and miles away from it I cannot do as I wish. You see, the creepy mansion where I live is only accessible through a path that goes through a really ghetto disadvantaged estate (the projects) and it is advised that one musn't walk through there alone as the students at the school are harassed by the people that live there and sometimes robbed. Each night I have had to walk through this place with the housing developement on my right and a creepy forested area on my left...then I have to walk through a creepy gate and onto a creepy isolated path through said forested area...but I ALWAYS manage to get lost. I really want to move to Chamberlain Hall which is one of the only high-rise dorms on campus because it would be close enough to campus that I can walk to and from both areas with the greatest of ease and not have to do the creepy walk to my home.
