Aloha, amigos (huzzah mixing languages!). Summer has unofficially begun, and I think it's about time for some fun. I've had a crazy few weeks of organizing and festivities and holidays. I just got back from a brief but eventful trip which included my birthday, visiting friends I hadn't seen in ages, and, most importantly, no internet access. So

HI BB GRL! WELCOME BACK HOME. I hope that you had a lovely time playing with the real world and are ready for fandom shenanigans. I definitely have interest in mutually entertaining frivolity. THAT IS THE BEST KIND! Buuuuuut you never alienated me so does that mean that I can't play? I did stop reading TVD recaps by and large, but that wasn't even just you, that was everyone's. I have decided that TVD will either just be LOLworthy or fic fodder for me and so I am avoiding anything other than happy flail about the show. Of which there is zero. So.

I multi-ship Gail Peck from Rookie Blue. I think she's my only one. And, of course, the Gail/Luke ship is actually only in my head and the Gail/Nick is on my TV and yet I really cannot choose. Every time I sit down to write fic about Nick being with someone else or Luke letting Gail be with Nick I come to this grinding halt. Perhaps I will create two entirely distinct universes where the other doesn't exist. Yes. That would work.

No worries about TVD. To be honest, I've barely been keeping up with my flists' TVD posts for anxiety and emotional trauma reasons, so I can't blame anyone for doing the same. I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't lost readers because of anything I in particular was doing, you know? I'm a worrier.

I love the idea of (100) Days of Summer. Although it's winter here and so it will be not really summer. Fun nonetheless! HAHAHAHA NOW I FEEL ALIENATED SO GOOD WORK. I WILL STAY.

I think that often people just forget that they've read something interesting and can't be bothered to respond you know? I mean, I have about 15 tabs sitting open that I wanted to comment on and yet they'll probably all get closed after they've been sitting that way for a week cause I'll have forgotten what it was that I wanted to say. I am the worst that way sometimes.

YOU DO NEED TO WATCH ORPHAN BLACK I SWEAR. There are only 10 episodes in total lasting 40 minutes and I am SURE that you can fit that in over a weekend. I promise that it will be worth the effort! Also RB. Although that will take longer to catch up on. And so I say go with OB to begin with!

I mean, I have about 15 tabs sitting open that I wanted to comment on and yet they'll probably all get closed after they've been sitting that way for a week cause I'll have forgotten what it was that I wanted to say. I am the worst that way sometimes.

We are all the worst that way, I should think. Except I have about 40 tabs open and I keep them up until eventually my computer has forcibly restarted itself so many times that my browser will no longer restore previous tabs. That's how awful I am.

I KNOW I KNOW ORPHAN BLACK. Except I accidentally read a spoiler the other day, and now I feel like I should wait long enough to forget it (even though I never seem to forget these things). I'll get there. But I have so much to catch up on it's overwhelming. TV IS HARD.

I am in New Zealand but it's close enough! And yes, we are still barbequeing even though it's winter. Having said that we've basically barely had a temperature below 10 degrees this winter up in Auckland so I really can't complain!

Now I have about 40 tabs open and no idea when I'm actually going to get through them all. One of them is your book post. I am getting there I SWEAR!
