i attended kerry and edward's rally tonite at the TD water house, found great seats but somehow ended up on the floor quite close to the stage, raspy voice and all kerry got through it, only one pause for water and one pause to look at his cards, edwards is definitely the more charismatic of the 2, but kerry on the other hand has a presence about him, not so much the politician, but the confidence of a man who knows how to take charge and could actually do something to clean up the mess if given the chance, didnt really cover anything new, mostly recapped what was said at the DNC, they make a good team, the most clever line that sticks in my mind was when he said that the only state bush had the lead in was the state of denial, classic,

cut one of my regular clients today, who i happen to think is a douchebag of the highest order, and not cause he is a bush siding republican, but because he is a muscle-headed gym owning jock, today was the 2nd time he brought up the elections while i was cutting his hair, what gets me is that he knows i have a polar opposite opinion from his and he attempts to instigate me while i have scissors in my hand, not the brightest bulb in the house,
this guy is a classic cookie cutter example of the brain dead shmucks that support bush, how a person can support him when the facts point to bush being a lying sack of shit, that needs to be shown the door out of the white house because his record speaks myriads, is beyond me, actually no its not, im not a millionaire saving big money on tax cuts, reality check, anyhows, this douche proceeds to tell me that i have been brainwashed by the media and michael moore, he tells me of the great job bush has done and how he has opened up so many jobs here in america, and that he hasnt seen any loss of business being a business owner and all, the economy is treating him well, he goes on with telling me that women are finally free in iraq and that saddam is out of power, that saddam would have killed many more women than the troops we lost,
and i look at this smug fuck and ask him what happened to osama, all i get is that that doesnt matter
i ask him if he thinks losing over 1000 americans in order to "liberate" the iraqis is worth it, i get nothing
i ask him if it really is worth the deficit bush has created for us, considering we had a surplus when clinton left office, and he tells me clinton was a horrible president who did nothing for our nation,
i ask him if he really thinks we are safer than we were 3 years ago and he is like yeah, and im like so you have no fear of traveling overseas, and he tells me no, that americans are as safe and respected as we have always been, and i ask him how do you explain the hostages that keep getting beheaded, and he tells me its media propaganda
am i really that out of touch with reality?
