[Musicpost] Follow the Reaper.
Since everyone else does, I think I'll give a shot at all this whole musicpost thing. ^^ This'un's a request from Sora, after fanboying about this album to her for a short while. So before I link, lemme give you a brief description and a bit of a warning:
Children of Bodom is one of those growling/shrieking vocal metal bands. Yeah, one of those. However, a few things set CoB apart from the pack and make them listenable to people outside of that genre's fans, and make them one of the best in their genre itself.
Although their vocals and lyrics are really nothing interesting, they're but a mood-setter, a background instrument to the main courses - phenomenal guitar work, even by metal's standards, delivered by Alexei Laiho and, unique to CoB : gorgeous and extremely talented keyboard.
Together, with harmonized guitar and keyboard, setting epic scales and moods hereto unknown, CoB kicks conspicuous amounts of ass. I mean, what other genre to get crystalline keyboards, choirs in the background, and epic guitars.
I mean, EPIC.

There's also two bonus tracks, one of them an single-version of a meh song on the album that increases the pwn by over nine thousand.
