Apparently it's not enough to send galleons home. My dear old man is now appearing to ambush me at my workplace with more requests for money. I'm glad I sent Serena to the relatives. At least she wouldn't have to see the state he's now in. I don't understand how anyone could let himself go to such utter waste. And I try not to think about what he does with the money I give him. Even though it's not hard to figure out. The stench of alcohol on him is palpable. You'd think with his blood running in my veins that it was a miracle I'm not an alcoholic too. But it's even worse not to give him money because then come the death threats and his apparent ability to pop up at any workplace I've secured. It's lucky old Ramsley is so understanding, else I'd be packing the first day he showed up. I've contemplated moving, but Ramsley's pay is good, and I didn't want to be a hypocrite for being a coward that I'd hate.

I wonder what he's doing sometimes. Marriage must treat him good.

Working in a muggle vicinity sometimes makes it easy for you to forget to stay connected with the Wizarding world. There might have been a world, for all that I know. But I'm sure at least some of that would have filtered down to me somehow. So, what's up with everybody's holidays? Enjoying the odd jobs and summer vacations?
