Oh, I can think of a few different times when a teacher acted or said something they shouldn't have. As a student for almost 20 years I saw a lot, but most of it wasn't happening to me as I kept my head down and mouth shut.
That's what I regret! I witnessed physical abuse toward a friend once by a male teacher who picked up my then 13/14 year old friend by his clothing and slammed him into the wall several times. I was once called a PIG in front of the whole class for taking a last bite of lunch after the bell rang, haha! This particular teacher (French teacher, by the way) wins my award for most abusive and twisted teacher. She hated all the girls in the class, never missed a chance to insult, and loved all the boys. I used to sit quietly doodling horrible pictures of her in class...good thing I never got caught!
There are lots more stories I could tell, but it's all pretty much the same, adults taking advantage of their power over kids.
I think schools have changed since I was a student, people are very conscious of abuse now and could never get away with things like that any more.
Have you ever experienced anything like this at school?

Oh wow, how awful! I dont think anyone could get away with physical abuse anymore, but I do not know about psychical abuse... Luckily I always had teachers who were very supportive and I cannot remember one occasion where I felt abused or treated unfairly (of course there was the one or other time where I did not agree about my grade, but that is a wholly different thing). There was a girl once who started mobbing me a bit but my class mates old her to shut up. And after that I took no shit from anyone anymore anyways XDDD

Glad that you've had a good experience at school, and realized that you don't have to take shit from people. That has probably contributed to your positive experience in general. XDDD!!!!
Haven't seen you around much lately Frank, are you busy in school, or working?

Haha, maybe! But you changed too, apparently since you reflected on it and would behave differently now if you had the chance. But when you are smaller you lack the experience, sadly. I do not undersand why such people become teachers though, as clearly they are incompetent...

Yes, I have been very very busy, but I hope that it will be a little less now. I am about to write my final paper soon and my internship ends at the end of february. How are you? Feeling a bit more motivated now?

Yeah, when you are just a kid it's hard to stand up to authority sometimes, esp. if you've come from a home where voicing your opinion hasn't been encouraged or valued . :(
So, does this mean that you are almost finished with school...forever? About to venture out into the working world?
I've been OK, always seem to get a little introspective at this time of year, but I usually come out of it with a plan and some new enthusiasm eventually.
I am feeling more motivated, yes, thanks. I've been cleaning out my little studio room and rearranging it this week. I'm hoping to do a lot of painting this year! XDDDD!!!

Oh, now I got a question: the paintings you post on deviantart and here, did yu draw them on the computer or by hand? I always thought you did them on computer, but now that you mentioned the studio I am a bit confused XD

I do most of the fan art on my computer. I've been learning how to use a computer to make art just this past year and it has been fun. I've yet to learn some of the more technical aspects of making digital art though, and feel a little frustrated at my progress.
In the past I'd always done painting and drawings in a traditional way, with real paint and/or pencil.
It's been great learning something new, but I want to get back to doing more traditional arts now. I miss it!
My studio is small, but big enough, and I love having a room just to myself where I can go and not think of all the other things I'm supposed to do around the house! XDDD

Haha, yes that sounds lovely! And I envy you for being able to draw on the computer, I don't get it >__< Will you post photos of your new traditionally painted pictures as well then?

Yup! Hope to, if I can scan them in on my crummy scanner. :0 I'll probably be doing some digital stuff too, wouldn't want to let it go. XD!

Yup, hope to, if I can get my antique scanner to work! I'll still be working digital as well though, it's too much fun to give up completely.
Gee, I tried to answer this post once already, guess it didn't go through...

Could work, if I can get a good enough picture. Got my studio cleaned up and rearranged yesterday, no more excuses now.:) It's funny, preparing a space ready to work in somehow adds a kind of pressure to the whole thing, an expectation that I'm supposed to fill. Got to shake that off!

Oh, you poor thing! Pressure is no good when it is of the bad kind... What projects are you planning?
