Every profound thinker is more afriad of being understood than of being misunderstood. The latter may hurt his vanity, but the former his heart, his sympathy, which always says: "Alas, why do you want to have as hard a time as I did?"

We have no dreams at all, or interesting ones. We should learn to be awake the same way--not at all or in an intersing manner.
