i will be 21 in less than 5 hours! hehe. i'm just a bit excited about my birthday. i'm going out tonight at midnight (the bars in tally town are open until 2) to kick my birthday off right. and then tomorrow i'll go to dinner with a group of friends and then do my "tennessee waltz"! [for those of you not familiar with the term...i offer this brief explanation: tennessee street (the strip) is one of the major roads in tallahassee, on which there are at least 10 different bars within walking distance of one another. on the night of your 21st birthday, you visit each bar, having at least 1 drink in every bar before proceeding to the next drinking establishment...so after a few bars (within people jumping to buy you drinks and shots in each bar) you are "waltzing" because you can't walk straight down tennessee street...hence the "tennessee waltz"!] hopefully i won't end my night in the wescott fountain (another tally tradition.) either way it should be a fun night! i'm a tad bit bummed b/c i don't get to have amanda or chase around on my birthday, but it will be ok. chase and a bunch of friends that live out of town are coming up this weekend...so i'm really excited about that too, even though i have no clue what we are going to be doing! amanda's back in amelia island, getting ready for NY and i miss her like CRAZY! but she gave me the best birthday gift...(see below picture)...it even has my full name on it!
other than birthday stuff...i spent thursday through sunday in lake city with justin, aimee and assorted other friends. it was a fun, but interesting experience. going out in lake city is unlike anything i have ever experienced before!
well, i need to go take a quick nap because i get the feeling it's going to be a long night! :)
