i love this song ("wonderful night")! i have been trying to find out the name of it, since i heard it on a commercial at least 2 months ago. finally, success! [note the little things that make me so happy].
it's been a very busy day. i had a battle royale with nextel this morning, that dragged into the afternoon. but i won. i am the wrong customer to be rude to or leave unsatisfied, because i won't accept it...largely because of my own experiences with customer service at home depot ("keeping your customers happy, so they will remain your customers!"). so i had to be "politely irate" with nextel, particularly because one of their customer service supervisors told me "you're up the creek without a paddle miss. there is nothing i can do for you. this company does not give out handouts!" (even though i was clearly in the right with my complaint.) not a particularly wise thing to say to a customer. i bet that man will be cursing my name in the next few days. But to the main point...I now have a properly functioning phone that actually works inside my house! woo-hoo! what am i going to do with myself?!
and then later this afternoon i finally figured out chase's birthday gift. thank goodness. now to actually acquire said gift... And then i had a very amusing dinner with ashley, adam, justin, amanda, megan and myself. they took full advantage of 2 for 1 drink specials...which only heightened the amusement and odd conversations normally found within that circle of friends. Yea, then all the girls decided to trek around the mall and after that we ended up at capital city tattoos with justin getting her nose pierced. you just never know what you're going to end up doing with that group. and now i have to decide if i want to stay in tallahassee for the weekend and enjoy a day trip to st. mark's (the beach!) or go down to gainesville and spend some time with chase (though not his actual birthday...) and try not to get in the way of his studying. man, i'm a sell out either way. i'm going to go sleep on it. (not really, but it's a good lead out.) i've got a long day of lounging by the pool (while unfortunately doing some very tedious reading for my upcoming finals) ahead of me. :) whoa is me....
