Thing I'm lucky with/ dedicated to all my friends :)

Everyone has his/her own spheres of life, where such a thing as 'luck' or 'happy chance' always prevails, not depending on real actions, rational explanations etc. For me these are people whom I meet. I'm definitely very lucky and very happy to know those whom I know! I've used to meet incredibly bright personalities; I've used to meet very simple, but very light and radiant people; I used to meet talented artists; I've used to meet my, so to say, 'spiritual relatives' (don't know how to define them in another way). I'm so grateful for that! - grateful that I may call some of them friends, some of them good acquaintances, or teachers, or close people…whatever; or just to remember some as bright stars which I've seen on my life's road. It's not that I live in a paradise surrounded with angels, not at all! But… Dear friends, I'm so grateful for having you in my life! Hope you know it J I hope I'm able to show, at least sometimes, at least partly, my love, respect and gratitude to them - to you! - who give me so much positive energy, who teach me and just share with me his/her soul's treasures, selflessly and generously. Even if the person had crossed my way for a moment, even if we don't see each other for a looong time - I'm grateful, and I remember you!

…and here I just wanted to tell you about some recent meetings.

Mithila and her wonderful family, who sheltered me, a stranger, in Rishikesh, following swamiji's request, and treated me as a dear long-awaited guest. So simple, and so loving, and caring. Simplicity of heart, deep love for guru they're following, openness, unconditional accpetance of things - that's what I've seen from a close distance, that's what we meet so rarely...

"Dancing girls" - the easiest way to make people understand, who are they (girls who study Indian classical dance). I admire their persistence and great devotion to dance, and courage to leave home, to leave everything for dance! This time, while being in India, I somehow managed to have a really good "dance company", helpful, caring and inspiring!

Moscow's airport. After a sleepless night in Delhi 's airport and plane I found a place to sit with my book near a group of Sikhs. We started talking, and a talk with one of them lasted for several hours:) He's a man in his 60-ies. 35 years ago he came from India to Norway and settled there. He told me so many incredible things - about his life, family, work,- amazing me with simplicity, openness of heart & mind. "Money was never most important to me. If you work diligently and honestly, God will help you"; "You must stand on your own feet in life"; "If someone comes to me in anger, or drunk, or something, I send him home first and ask to come and meet me the next day, when these bad things are gone; then we can discuss financial things etc." (this person used to be a taxi-driver, now he owns several taxis and has some people working for him); "When you argue with your spouse, don't try to prove you're always right. Even if you're angry, just look aside, breathe deeply, and you'll calm down, and say "sorry", and the peace is there". Hm, some time has passed. I may not remember what exactly I wanted to share with you, but the image of a really pure person is still in my mind.

These are just few sketches. Very few. Though each of them, mentioned and not mentioned here, are like precious jewels which I was given, and I keep them carefully in my heart's treasure box.

Current music: Eva Cassidy, Songbird; Loreena Mckennitt, Marrakesh Night Market
