['cause Bree and I are bored -- Kanna's in the school gym, teaching a bunch of boys some choreography for next year's team tryouts. For once let's leave her in her own element. XD Feel free to pester, watch, laugh, etc.

Also feel free to tag other people, 'cause socialization is good! Cheers.]

*Elie enters the gym, then pauses, noticing the dancing. She decides to hang back for a bit and watch to see exactly how badly this is going to end.*

[Not badly, actually; if there's anything Kanna -can't- mess up, it's teaching dance. Though by looking at her, you'd never guess she could dance like a boy.]

*She wouldn't. Once Kanna's done with whatever she's doing, Elie starts clapping.*

[And that's when she starts getting all jdfaskdfkh again. But she does send the boys off with a note or three.]

I didn't realize you were watching.

You did seem pretty absorbed in what you were doing.

There are a lot of people who plan to audition for next year's team -- so there are a lot of people to teach. Normally I just teach the girls, but Kouichi needed a little help. There are a surprising number of boys.

That's surprising... It doesn't seem like a club boys would be interested in.

Boy bands are coming back to the mainstream media; they dance, and they're re-popularizing it as 'okay' for guys to do -- it's always been okay, but it's had some pretty ridiculous stigma. I'm glad, though. I wish I'd had more boys to work with! Twelve seems like a lot but it really isn't.

*fff you had to phrase it like that.*

Is that the kind of dancing you were teaching? The boy-band stuff?

Well -- this is hip hop, and most boy bands dance that style, so ... technically? 'Pop and lock', is what it is.

"Pop and lock"?

That's what they call the specific substyle. Precise movements, really smooth gliding ones, usually followed or accompanied by really solid 'isolations' -- [She demonstrates a little, and it's like stopping the body midmovement.] It takes practice, but once you get it, you don't really get any worse.

*She blinks a little.*

It looks... weird.

I suppose it does, for people who aren't used to it. But when you get a group together it looks really clean and interesting.

I'll take your word for it.

Maybe I'll just stick to dancing ballet around you.
