Maybe the first time I've been actually sad it's snowing.

I love snow. I love snow. You probably all know how much I love snow, because I've posted about it. But today I am not happy with the weather gods.

Liam was supposed to come home two days ago. Flight after flight was canceled. He's currently stranded in Missouri, thankfully with his brother so he's not alone, trying to get a flight to Chicago so he can sleep there and then fly to Pittsburgh in the morning, where his brother's girlfriend will drive (five hours) to pick them up and then drive five hours back.

I haven't seen him in five months. I miss him so much, and this is utterly frustrating.

I also haven't gotten my grades back, yet, which is stressing me out a little. I'm not really worried about them? But I like to know.

I have a ton of fics to write for you all still, I know. Right now I'm working on a Hermes/OFC, Hermes/Iris, Dionysus/Apollo fic set in the universe of my (in-the-works) time-traveling greek god webcomic, Chasing Mercury. It's a gift for my dear friend Raine, who's the artist for the comic, and it's pretty exciting, I think.

They find an abandoned shopping mall. Hermes only knows what it is from the time Chasing Mercury played a gig in the States and Iris had pulled him away from the pre-show bickering to get him lost in a maze of bright glass windows worthy of Daedelus himself, because they had fucking rainbow suspenders.

Anyway. Despite snow (and partially because of it) I'm in a very good mood today. I've been watching Misfits over skype with Chiara, and it continues to blow my mind. It really just gets better and better. I can't get over it. I want to write long, sprawling gen fics, slashier (if possible) AUs, little episode tags, it's so good. It's gotten to the point that I love all the characters for how they're written and the things they add to the overarching plot, even if I wouldn't like them personally? But my favorites are still Nathan, Simon and Kelly, by far.

And MY HAT BLOCK ARRIVED. If you didn't know, one of my more expensive (but coolest) hobbies is making wool felt hats. I really adore doing it but until today I haven't had all the pieces necessary so now I DO so I can finally make Griffin Simpson his hat that I promised him in exchange for a cinnamon bun like two years ago.

And. Baking! My mom's a Christmas baby and we're celebrating her birthday today and I'm making gluten-free lemon poundcake and it smells very good and basically, things are good.

baking, what i'm writing these days, mythology, chasing mercury, haberdashery
