Episode Reaction - SPN 5.04
HOLY SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT YOU GUYS I THINK THIS WAS MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF SUPERNATURAL I'VE EVER SEEN EVER.
I can't deal with how good this episode was! Okay. Okay okay. Okay. ::settles down a little:: Um, let's try to do this in order so it's not just word barf.
1) Castiel's little "I'll just...stand here, then."
2) The shippiest Sam/Dean scene in a LONG time. "This whole...whatever we have, love, family, they'll use it every time."
3) Um, the entire feel of the future. Just. So gorgeously hopeless.
4) Is it just me or does two Deans equal awesome episode?
5) They handled Castiel's slow fall into being human so much better this time than they did last time that I can't even believe it. His future self was so. So. MISHA COLLINS HOW ARE YOU SO AMAZING.
6) I liked Risa.
7)...Okay I'm done with numbers.
Can I just say how fucking IMPRESSED I was with Jared Padalecki this episode? I've long said that Jensen is the better actor - but it might just be that Dean is a better character or Dean gets more chances to show how good he is. Jared did an INCREDIBLE Lucifer. And all the chemistry he and Jensen have as brothers(/lovers) came across so, so incredibly. I could barely breathe during their scene, I swear to god.
ALSO. ALSO. When Castiel pulled Dean out, from the kitchen, Dean's little FACE. His face was so HAPPY to see Cas and I actually thought he was going to hug him there (I really wanted him to hug him).
I ALSO really wanted Dean and Sam to hug at the end there. Seriously, boys? We don't mind.
I think how underwhelmed I was last week made me appreciate this episode more but HOLY SHIT. You guys. Just. HOLY SHIT.
