Oh, such a good mix. I love the Go-Betweens song a ton! And I love the cover of I Only Have Eyes for You, and The First Cut is the Deepest. Really, I like it all. It's a wonderful mix in that the complete package flows together really well and everything evokes a certain mood from slightly different angles. It seems like a sad summer mix too...

do you know grenadine? it's a side project between mark robinson (unrest, air miami) and jenny toomey (tsunami, simple machines records, etc.)... i feel like those sort of bands sit in this weird early 90's pocket that i think is awesome but almost no one listens to anymore. that scene has aged a lot better than, say, grunge or about 75% of the dischord-ish angular guitar bands i listened to in the mid-nineties.
i'm sorta new to the go-betweens. that medium-paced rock sound can be a tough sell with me, but i'm warming up to it. the track is from before hollywood, which is pretty much good from beginning to end.
