i'm actually watching the parade. i woke up after 3 hours of sleep and a night of drinking. somehow i'm not hungover or tired? we'll see how long this lasts...

ha ha maybe you're still drunk.

i remember waking up one morning after a horrifically drunk night in college and taking the train from berkeley to san francisco to see the masami teraoka exhibit at the asian art museum. the sun was high in the sky and i felt incredible as i walked through the park. that was, curiously, one of the best days of my life. i don't know how i came out on the other side of a drunken binge bursting full of energy. i might still have been drunk...it was just one of those weird things.

i actually just broke down and looked up the slovene word for cranberry and went and bought some cranberry jam. i stopped short of making any turkey. maybe next year...

My totally ordinary Thursday was going to be made far less ordinary by watching Black Snake Moan (for either good or bad reasons) tonight, if only my online rental emporium hadn't decided to send me Fantastic Four 2 by mistake (which no-one in my house ordered), haha.

thanks craig... it's good to have you back on the internets a bit more. if you scroll through the old AOV posts, you'll find a long argument between me reuben and colin about black snake. i hated it; they liked it. i liked the argument though, so some good came out of the experience for me. it'll be interesting to see what you think. it's a pretty divisive, love/hate type movie.

I remember a hoo-har about Black Snake Moan in AoV, which is probably the reason I added it to my rentals. It came in the post today, so I'll get to watching it soon... and go back to that AoV post. I should really get back into doing some write-ups for the end of week thing too.
