Indeed I did...although I don't quite share your enthusiasm. I'd rank it above Day, which I do love...
I think some recent zombie flicks have stolen a bit of Romero's thunder...but only in the stylistic sense. I mean, I winced during that opening credits sequence. Too much like that awful Dawn remake. But the goofy characters were there, the likable female lead, some fantastic gory effects...i just need to see it again, I think.
I do have some other issues, but I await your heart (and gut) felt post...
i agree that it's not perfect... in fact, i would rate it worst of the four, but that doesn't mean much since the other three are so so great. i too winced at the opening credits, though i was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it did away with dumb nine inch nails posturing afterwords.
