Wow, Im in Italy! Im at an internet cafe in Rome. Excuse the bad grammar, the keyboards are a little different then usual. It is amazing here. We are staying in a hotel that is over 400 years old. There is no drinking age, so me and Nick are pretty wasted right now. We were doing the math, and we figured it is about 10 in the morning Bartlett time, and it is like 5:15 here. It was kinda hard to adjust to the time change, but i think im fully adjusted now. We saw the Vatican today. It was gorgous. Everything here is so old and so intricate. Its insane. I miss home already. I didnt get any e-mail addresses, so if you want me to e-mail anyone, just put down your address in your reply and i will try my hardest to get back to you on a more personal note.
Since I know Paul will be the only one really reading this Ill just talk to you now. I miss you! I think about you everyday. I cant believe i have only been here like 4 days. We are leaving for Florence on Friday I believe. After that, I will have access to a computer daily im assuming. Tony has a computer, but i dont know what kind of service they have so i dont know how often i will be able to go on it. I know i keep saying it but it is amazing here. there are no words to express it. Everyone is very nice and most people speak english. You just have to let them know that you are american and then they kinda catch on. Most people like to practice their english so its kinda cool. Its awesome though. First day here, me and Nick bought a beer and drank it at a table that was outside. Right when we were starting though, our moms walked up. It was so embarressing. hah. ohh well, they knew what was going on.
But anywho, i dont know what else to say, i will have pictures when i get home to show you, but for now, all i can do is explain. everything is a lot cheaper here. Cigarettes are like 2 euro, which is like 3 dollars at home. Liquor varies, but me and nick got drinks for like 5 euro. thats kinda hard to adjust to also. The money change. I bought a jacket at a place called Killer Loop. Weird name huh? they listen to a lot of American music here. Me and Nick went to a bar 2 nights ago, and they were playing green day and gorillaz. All the Italians were liking it. Its crazy how much american music they listen to. they like a lot of techno too. At night when we walk around you here a lot of technoy clubs. We have yet to go to a club. I think we will do more of that kind of stuff when we get to Florence because Tony will know all the hot spots. I am starting to get a little home sick, but its hard to when your in such a beautiful place as this. Oh yeah, i forgot to mention, the toilets are friggin weird! There is only the bowl, and the top part is like attached to the wall like 8 feet up. Kinda weird, but you get used to it.
The food is amazing here. We have gone to only a few restaurants, and everywhere we went it was DELICIOUS. The deserts are awesome too. Well I dont really know what else to talk about. I will try to come back to one of these internet cafes soon. there are a lot around here. Its hard to get away from the parentals though. We had to convince them to let us come on right now. Oh well, they will just have to suck it. So for now, I have about 70 euro in my pocket, a few drinks in me, and im set to go. I miss you Paul and cant wait to come home and see you >kiss<. Ill update as soon as possible.
Bouna Sera! Ciao!
Good Evening! Goodbye!
