We've got some fun stuff planned, so come take a gander!

Alright gang, we've got some cool new stuff going down in the comm.

We're going to be throwing in some fun and sociable activities for all you members to participate in and enjoy.

The activites are...

Fic Prompts: Like most fic prompts, a prompt will be supplied and writers have the alotted time period to write about said prompt. A poll will be cast for the comm to vote for the best prompt, based on originailty, characters, crack!ness, relation to prompt and other qualities. The winner of the prompt poll will then supply the comm with a new prompt, and so the cycle will continue.

Icon Contests: For the icon contests, a theme will be provided and all you graphic artists will have an alotted time period to create an icon that relates to the theme. The comm will then vote through a poll for the best icon, based upon the icon's (and I'm quoting the above paragraph) originailty, characters, crack!ness, relation to prompt and other qualities. The winner of the icon poll will then supply the comm with a new icon theme, and so the cycle will continue.

The other activity will be something new and different. We like to call it...

The Thread Fic: Like in the style of "The Other Woman," written by me and jannika, a group of people will write a fic in a rotated order. This is mainly to inspire impromptu and immediate reaction writing. It's a lot of fun and very interesting to see what comes out of it.

How it will work is: writers who sign up will be placed in a writing order. When it is your turn to write, you respond to the prompt by adding a new comment. The next person who writes will add another comment (do NOT reply to the comment, add a new one - this prevents collapsing comments, which are not fun to try to read, trust me). And so on. You cannot go out of order, UNLESS the person who is next does not post over a period of 36 hours after the last comment. If you want to be skipped, just post a comment that says "pass".

When writing your comment, remember to put the number of your entry in a place either before or after the entry, just so the mods can keep track of the number of comments that are being posted, and so the mods can move to a new post when neccessary.

Example posts:

1.

Miranda, she knows everything.....

(next comment)

2.

In the beginning, Miranda just watched and shook her head

Guidelines: The idea is that you write your immediate reaction to whatever was written last. It's more fun when you don't really talk to your fellow writers about what should happen. It's a flow thing. Have fun! If you're worried about length, remember that it's just a segment of a larger fic. Length can range from a short paragraph to five paragraphs.

Any questions about any of these activities? Just ask. We're nice super!mods, promise.

As for a timeline, we will be intertwining these activities so that there's always something going on. The prompt timeline will be on a two week schedule, starting on week A. The icon timeline will also be on a two week schedule, starting on week B. Meaning, at the start of week A, a prompt will be posted and you'll have two weeks to post. At the start of week B, the icon theme will be posted, and you'll have two weeks to post. At the end of week B, the prompt entries must be in and a poll will be cast and so forth and so forth.

The timeline for the Thread Fic will be a little more on it's own, starting probably on week B and ending three weeks afterwards (all depending on the success of the fic and whatnot). It's still unchartered territory, so this is all pending imformation.

I realize these timelines may sound confusing, but I assure you they will make sense!

The start of week A will be this Wednesday, so keep your peepers peeled!

Remember, any questions, just ask!

super!mod out
