Title: The Other Woman (Part 2)
Author: stttmsbwa and Jannika
Pairing: Drake/Josh/Jerry. RPS.
Rating: M/R
Warnings: Real people. Slash. Sex. Crack! General Insanity.
Disclaimer: We definitely do not own these real people, because if we did I'm sure they wouldn't be let out of our houses. We like to keep our sex slaves locked up tight, thanks.
Summary: It was just supposed to be a little fun on the side, but they really should have known better. They should have known it would end with three broken hearts.
Author's Note: This all started when folkloric_feel posted pictures of Drake Bell and Jerry Trainor in the same shirt. That lead to a discussion of how much Miranda Cosgrove knows about the boys, which lead to us writing this fic in the comments. We're still writing it in the comments actually. We're dividing this story into parts, every part will be six of our comments. Enjoy. Feel free to tell us we're crazy.

7. stttmsbwa:

Jerry knew going in that Drake would never be his for the taking (well, maybe during their heated fuck-fests - yes). Drake's heart belonged to someone else, someone that wasn't Jerry. He knew right from the beginning that this was just a thing, a thing meant for fun and fun only.

He tried, oh he tried, to remind himself of this every day. He always managed to fail miserably.

Getting worked up over some kid? Some 22-year-old? What the hell was wrong with him?

Jerry chose not to admit it.

He heard Miranda.

Doesn't mean he's going to listen to her.

In fact, he's going to prove her wrong. Next time he sees Drake, he's gonna find a dark set and ravish him.

Drake is nothing more than a fun, easy hook up. Jerry does not harbor unrequited feelings for the kid. They're just friends with benefits.

(Jerry keeps telling himself this. Maybe he'll believe it tomorrow.)

8. jannika:

Miranda wonders if she's doing this wrong. Part of her thinks she should just talk to Drake directly, instead of trying to solve things by going to Jerry and Josh. Talking to Jerry doesn't seem to have helped - she's not sure she told him anything he didn't already know.

In fact, talking to him seems to have made Jerry determined to get Drake alone as often as possible. Which was not Miranda's plan. She considers talking to Drake, but in her head she can already picture that conversation, and it doesn't go well. So she calls Josh.

Josh asks the questions he hates to ask. The ones he feels like he's asked Miranda a thousand time over the past few months. The questions they both pretend mean something innocent, or friendly, or merely curious. Is Drake there? Is Jerry there? What are they doing? What has Miranda seen? Normally she answers him, sounding wary but worried. Today, she cuts him off in the middle of his first question. She says his name and she sounds nervous, and it makes his stomach jumping a little, wondering what she's seen.

If she's seen anything new, she doesn't tell him. Instead, she asks him a question. She stops pretending she doesn't know, and she asks Josh if he's ever asked Drake to stop. Like it's that simple. It's not, and Josh tells her that. She sighs, and he can almost see her scowling and rolling her eyes as she tells him she's pretty sure it is.

"It's always you, Josh. If you stop playing, he will too," She says.

Josh wishes he believed her.

9. stttmsbwa:

Josh is pretty sure he's losing his mind.

He told himself, back when him and Drake first got together, he'd never let his relationship with Drake continue if there was any reason to back out. They were both so relaxed with what they had. They just let things happen.

Maybe that's the problem, the reason why Drake strayed away.

Josh couldn't hate Drake. He couldn't hate Jerry.

So he started to hate himself. If Drake really did want him, then what the hell was he doing with Jerry? Drake's words didn't matter to Josh anymore - so many were lies, how could he trust?

He'd been trusting his heart and look where that had gotten him.

Maybe the right thing is to just back out now, before anyone got seriously hurt.

(Josh already knew he'd get hurt either way. There was no point in trying to avoid it. It was inevitable.)

10. jannika:

Drake feels like he was hit by a truck, a truck he didn't see coming, even though it had its headlights on and was honking as loud as it could before it smacked into him.

This isn't fun anymore. Not even a little. Jerry looks angry all the time and Josh looks broken and Drake is pretty sure it's all his fault. It was just sex, just friends with benefits, just fooling around and it wasn't supposed to mean anything. It was supposed to make them all smile more, not less.

It wasn't supposed to end up with Drake feeling like the worst person in the entire world. It wasn't supposed to make him feel like he didn't deserve either of them, like he didn't deserve either of them.

He needs to get out of town. He needs to escape the tension that radiates off Jerry and the sadness in Josh's eyes.

So he gets in his car, and he drives away, without telling either of them he's leaving.

11. stttmsbwa:

Miranda has to say Jerry's cue three times before he hears her and responds. Hitting Jerry in the head with the script, Mirada sighs and thinks of what to say.

Not that it matters. Jerry is too gone to even pretend to listen to her.

Josh isn't answering his phone.

This was all heading down the wrong alleyway, just like Miranda had predicted.

There was only one person left to confront. And Miranda had no idea where he was.

"It's Drake. Leave a message."

"Jared Drake Bell. If you don't call me back by the end of today, I will morph into Megan and make your life miserable."

--

12. jannika:

Drake wonders just how much Miranda knows. Too much, he thinks, considering she'd used his full name, and threatened to go all Megan Parker on him. It's not a threat he can ignore.

"Come home," she says when he calls. She doesn't ask where he is or if he's ok, she just demands that he come home, and then sighs like someone five times her age.

"I needed some air."

"You were running away. It's not cool," she says, and he winces.

"I'm not-" he starts, and she cuts him off,

"You are. Jerry's missing cues and staring at walls. Josh won't answer the phone. You made a mess. You need to come fix it."

"I don't know how," he admits.

"Well where are you?"

"Umm, Tennessee?"

"You've got a long drive home. Figure it out on the way," she says, hanging up before he can respond.
