Castro stepped down: Old news but important news, I hate to see Cuba become another Banana Republic under the United States mighty thumb...and now for something completely different.
Putin is OUT! this scares me, and not in the "ho SHIT! what the fuck's he going to do now?!?" way. It's more in the: He lost? HE FUCKING LOST?!? that proto-dictator LOST!?! Granted he wasn't in the running but how many people are seeing a paralel between Russia's current Election and the 2000 election in the US? Something is not right in the state or I'm the Warrior Queen of the Fancy Cupcakes. The current winner suggested that Putin would make a "Potential" "Prime minister"...now I'm not a suspicious man by nature(I SAID BY NATURE!), but somehow I think our former KGB-Agent-Turned-President is up to something. He's definatly been playing power games in one of the (still) most corrupt developed nations on the face of the planet, he's had more power the last few years than ever in his life before and ambitious men do not give up power willingly. Watch this man, I wouldn't be suprised if detractors suddenly vanished from not only the news but from the breathing world within the month.
