home alone
Wife out tonight at the last minute. This is how the evening has played out thus far:
Went grocery shopping though didn't feel like it. First time in the nice store in several weeks. Spent 3x as much as I should have. However, I have nice food for the weekend and it was a calm experience.
Got a minicab home. He didn't help with all the bags. No tip.
Changed, opened a bottle of NZ Pinot Noir. Very disappointing.
Heated up (store bought) fresh venison tortellini with some sage and butter. Filling and passible, but not particularly memorable.
Watching Jools Holland. Muse were shit. Beach Boys were shit. Public Image Ltd were shit.
So.... not the best night in alone. This weekend should be a bit better, I hope. Nights in alone are an opportunity and should not be squandered.
