See the thing is, I find the development of people fascinating. Watching your children grow up must be amazing. I can't wait to see my friends' children mature. I just don't want to be a part of it myself. An observer from afar. So much of what my mom has said to me (whilst drunk) about me resonates as I get older. The comments about smoking as I was into cigars in university. The thrill, the heartbreak, everything else. Fascinating. But stressful. Not for me firsthand, but incredible.
