Canterbury

New boiler in. Hot water on demand. Oh yeah baby! The plumbers did a very clean job; it is good to get a recommendation.

We had to be out of the flat, so we went to Canterbury just for the night. The cathedral there is amazing. They had a list of organists that went back to the 15th century and tombs of pre-reformation archbishops. Also went on a ghost tour, which wasn't much, but at least it gave us something to do at night that was part of the town and wasn't a pub! We went to bed at 10pm. Never been so well-slept since we stopped drinking. The hotel was very cute, but service was a bit shambolic. Good value and location though, the Sun Hotel & Tea Rooms, and we'd stay again if in Canterbury again.

With the boiler, comes new things that should be done soon. Just when we're broke and starting to save for a new flat. Nonetheless we need to do something to finish off the fire (soon); tile more of the tub, hang a shower head, put in a new sink and toilet (end of February?); and redo the kitchen (June).

Time for a new week. Not quite ready yet. But for now, I get to watch the first two episodes of the next season of 24!

New icon. Not sure if I should add this to my collection or just replace the old one of us with it. Any thoughts?
