Well, it's floodin' down in Texas, all the telephone lines are down So i watched the Bears/Cardinals game tonight. It was a lot of fun for me to watch because I had a Bears WR and their Defense in fantasy, and I was against the Cardinals kicker. I thought i would lose, but I think I might have squeeked out a win this week.
anyways.....
After having ten days off of work, they decided that I needed to work seven in a row. My seventh day was so unproductive, though I did get a lot done, it's not as much as I would if I would have had a day off. I wonder if managers who work five or less days in a row know that if you work someone just a few extra days in a row, how much that limits their potential for productivity. And i'm not the only example. Hopper's factory works him seven days a week. What is his incentive to make production marks if he knows he has to work every goddamn day? None. The japanese need to learn the definition of "incentive to work", but that's a whole other story.
I still think that IU beating Iowa was a dream. And what if, and it's a huge-fucking if, they beat Ohio State on saturday? you would ALMOST have to put them in the top 25, just for one week. If they beat OSU, i will spank my naked ass in public. period.
Speaking of saturday, Lindsay and I are going to South Bend to tailgate for the Notre Dame game. I really want to go to a Notre Dame game, but I dont want to buy scalped tickets for a million dollars each, so i think we are just gonna hang out with all of her SMChicks and tailgate all day, it should be fun.
Married life is pretty fun, granted we're only two weeks into the thang, but it seems pretty nice. I actually made our bed today. To be honest, it has been a very natural transistion. Which means it doesnt feel much different than before, except we sleep together every night, and see eachother every day. I'm glad all of the hoop-la over the wedding is over. Even though it was so much fun, and everyone had a blast, it was a lot of stress leading up to the thing. It's nice that things have calmed down and my time off of work can involve me working around the apartment and doing other domestic things.
Pretty soon I'll have an Xbox 360, and I can't fucking wait. My first game will definetly be madden 2006. I'm wait to buy it only for the fact that the Wii and I think the PS3 come out in mid-november, and since I know the Wii will be about 250 bucks, I'm thinking that the Box will have some sort of price cut or something....I hope. Either way, by gift-mas (a la
shakewell) I will have one.
I can't actually believe that Eric Gordon is going to go to IU. All this time he was all about Illinois, but now he's definetly playing for IU, wow.....Sampson must be doing something right. I like how Bruce Weber was saying how in college basketball, after someone has orally commited that other coaches stop recruiting. Well, Bruce, you suck and Gordon thought so too. I just hope he's as good as they say he is. And on another note, I hope this little swaray is a sign of things to come. For so long, IU had their pickings from the top recruits in the state, but thanks to Mike D and his philosophy that only people from the dirty south can play basketball, most of those great recruits, like Greg Oden, have gone else where, mostly out of state, to play college basketball. Lets hope more of that talent stays at IU.
