It's so fun making new playlists! Am listening to the preliminary playlist made for Chicago...it's a tradition we have to make a playlist for each con. This year's is almost finished...just waiting on
dvshipper to get me some of her songs added to the list.
So I figured I'd take a break from the half-assed packing I'm doing to post a little bit. I hate it...I don't know what to pack (even after three years of doing it) without feeling like I'm taking too much, and yet I don't think I have everything. It's very frustrating...and I hate that my room is starting to look empty and foreign again...and cluttered/messy where I can't really do anything about it. *sigh* This summer went by so fast, and now it seems these last two weeks are gonna drag on and on.
Let's focus on some con posting...hopefully that'll make the dragging of time worth it (b/c I know when they get here, both are just gonna breeze by!):
~ Got our Gold tickets for Chicago on Saturday!!! XD I was gonna post about it, but then got caught up in watching the Mummy and getting the time for Judicial Indiscretion screwed up, so never got to mentioning that. I was quite surprised to get them so early b/c last year they didn't show up until the DAY before I left to head back to school. I will say I much prefer this year's timing! LoL! The tickets are safely tucked away on the ChiCon folder, where the Sooper Sekrit project is also now residing since I was keeping it on the 'safe' self of my bookshelf and I packed that up on Sunday.
~ It's looking like I will have had plenty of time to tell Michael the story behind the Sooper Sekrit project with all the stuff I'm gonna be getting signed! *snirk* I was planning on just getting two things signed, but then
callygal1 asked if I could get some stuff signed for her since Michael had to cancel on Dragon*Con. Told her of course...then after much discussion over on the Twitterwebz, it was decided I WILL get him to sign a bag of Skittles (BWAHAHAHA!), and possibly one of those Stargate coasters if I end up winning a bet I have with someone over there. Gods, can we say INSANE?! But hey, all autograph tickets will be paid for, so it's not like he can complain! XP
~ Purchased my greyhound ticket for Dragon*Con. Only cost my $48, which is DEFINITELY a lot better than the hundreds it would've cost to go by air. I'll be getting in Atlanta at 1:20 PM that Thursday (a 5 hr trip from Tallahassee), so that's not too bad. The bad part is the trip back, which will take 16 frelling hours b/c for some reason I'll be sitting at the Jacksonville station for FOUR hours?! *sigh* Oh well, I definitely have my transportation there now. It's suddenly become more real! XD
~ They've put up the tentative schedule for Chicago!!!! And I'm suddenly even more excited than I was before. *dances* Only 16 more days to go!
Now onto some personal stuff:
~ They dropped 'World's Greatest Shipwrecks' as an offered course this coming semester, so now I have to find something to take it's place! FUCK! I was so looking forward to the class too! Looking at the courses available, the only thing I can see that I can register for BEFORE classes actually start is the required Computer Literacy class I need. Might as well just get it knocked out now since I still want 15 hours.
~ Roo, one of our outside cats, isn't doing so well. He's having a hard time getting around and breathing. He was eating/drinking, but not it seems he can't keep much down. *sigh* This is always the hardest part about having pets. It never gets any easier to accept.
~ After going for over a year without a watch, I finally went ahead and bought a new one. Got it off ebay...it was a little pricey, but worth it I believe. I should be getting it in either tomorrow or Friday. Will take pics. It's got a dragon on it and looks wicked cool.
~ Haven't worked on Choices in over a week, but I plan on getting some more work done on it tonight. I also plan to start working on some more of my prompts for
mission_insane . Considering just going in order, one from each table, and then back to the top and starting the process again until all are complete.
Alrighty, I think that's about it for now. Time to get back to TRYING to pack...*sigh*
