So I figured I'd post a little bit since I have a little bit to post about! Yaaay!
Finally tested out the pool today! Felt like I was swimming in pond water. It was all green/brown and had lots of leaves and waters bugs in it (there was even a little frog nearby...made him my new friend! XD). To be honest, it wasn't that bad. Definitely doable in the future when it's wicked hot and I have nothing better to do. But there aren't any pics b/c I felt you guys wouldn't want to see it. If you've seen a good pond or canal, that's what it looks like. Minus the threat of dangerous creatures...I think?
The rest of the day was spent mostly working on the replacement project for the Victor Sketch. I'm trying to keep the lid on the big super secret project as tight as possible, so no clue yet what it is. I will provide pictures once the whole thing is complete. Those, of course, will be friends locked when they do come. It'll be just like when I posted the test run of 'I Want Candy' before the con to see if it jived with everyone. Not that what I'm doing can be edited like a vid can, but still...I'd like opinions.
In book news, I picked up two new ones this week (because we all know I seem to buy them better/faster than read them!). Both are Tudors era novels. The one I got on Monday is 'King's Fool' by Margaret Campbell Barnes, and the one I picked up last night (and how cool is it that Barnes and Noble is open to 11?? Wicked awesomepops right there!) is 'Madamoiselle Boleyn' by Robin Maxwell. Of course, idk when I'll actually get around to reading these novels, but it's cool to know I have some Tudors action coming to fill the LOOOONG gap before S.4 starts.
I will say I'm kinda surprised by how may Tudors era novels are actually around! When perusing the rows last night, I swear there were at least two of them to each row! Makes me all excited to see how many I can get and read! If anyone's looking for any good gift ideas on my part *looks at two specific people*, there's a good place to start!
So my bank has obviously made a big no-no. I went to check my balance today to see if I had enough to get some food while we were out. I figured I did b/c I haven't been spending too much this past week since I had to pay my last cable bill from this past semester. Well, my online account tells me my current balance it $13.37 and my available balance is...wait for it.... $-39.08. DUDE, WTF?!?! I KNOOOOW that's not possible! There is NO WAY I bought/paid for something for fifty-something dollars this past week OTHER than my cable bill. And THAT was already posted online. EVERYTHING I BOUGHT this past week since Wednesday was already posted, including the stuff I got this morning at Wally World. And I went over and over in my head all the possible things that could've made this actually true. But there's nothing. The only thing I can think happen is the bank is, for some reason, posting my payment of my cable bill twice?? Which, of course, is a no-no. Madre said to wait to see what happens tomorrow, and if there's no change, we'll get them to fix it. Which they better b/c I will NOT be out fifty-fucking-dollars this coming week. Need that money to get my greyhound ticket for Dragon*Con.
Funnier stuff: Madre and I were watching Wild Pacific on Discovery while eating dinner. Mike Rowe was talking about Sperm Whales. Well...he was saying how they can dive deeper than any other mammal, and use sonar to find their prey. And without missing I beat, I went 'Sperm?'. After that, I kept cracking jokes about the Sperm Whales (I mean, who in their dirtiest mind wouldn't?!)...so for the next week or so, it'll be nothing but Sperm Whale jokes. This amuses me to no end. I named the sperm whale on my mind Spermy. Seems so appropriate!
Okie donkie, now that I've rambled on about nothing imparticular, I'm gonna head off and probably have a good ol' time catching up with my Tweeps, who I have selfishly ignored today. ;P
