"It's all the same...only the names have changed..."

So time for a little postage...I actually did some stuff today that's post worthy (not that I don't post about the boring shit too!) and found out some exciting news...

To start, I took an adventure around the frelling world, it seems, just to get a copy of the TV Guide. And I did this for the ONE little clipping in there about 'Living Out Loud'. I am waaay too devoted for my own good, sometimes. I checked the FSU bookstore at first, even though I knew they probably wouldn't have it. So then I trekked out to CVS (for the 2nd time in less than a week), but OF COURSE they don't have it either. Now I'd originally planned to go to the mall anyway to get the SG Mag, but since Waldensbooks closed down in the mall and that was my only source for that here, I had nixed those plans...until every other place around campus failed to provide the TV GUIDE. So to the mall I went - I was hopeful that with Waldensbooks closing down that the Borders right down the street would be getting their stock...

Well, they didn't, so the SG mag is still NOT in my possession (I will be getting it when I go home though, so it's no big deal). But they DID have the TV Guide, so my trip wasn't an entire waste. And I figured while I was there and had the time, I'd look around.

Ending up leaving with the TV Guide, as well as the Burn Notice novel 'The Fix' and 'Little Shop of Horrors' on DVD. I know I shouldn't have spent the money (even if it wasn't a lot), but I couldn't help it. I was getting the novel no matter what since I've been in a book fix mood for a while (meaning I've had the urge to buy a new book - it really is an addiction), and I had a feeling if I didn't get the movie then that I wouldn't see it again in stores anywhere. So I might have to dip into the fund these last couple of days since I spent the money I was gonna spend on food on books and movies, but it'll be made up for over the summer when I work.

Now onto the exciting news!

Madre called me and discussed the tentative vacaction plans for this year. THANK THE GODS, Toledo Bend is a big NO this year. We had already decided we wanted to leave Louisiana entirely for out Vacay (which is June), so Madre brought up Destin (FL) to Smurfinator. Of course what we both wanna do is go back to Ft. Lauderdale and enjoy a REAL beach and visit all our friends...but weren't gonna mention that to Smurfinator outright. Anywho, while they were searching the interwebs, Smurfinator brought up Ft. Lauderdale on his own! *claps* And instead of DRIVING there, they're thinking of flying down and renting a car while we're there, staying at a hotel (cheap one since we know we'll only be in the room to sleep and shower!), and just staying a week in S. FL. Do you KNOW how exciting this is to me?! I'd be GOING HOME (literally to my HOME - where I GREW UP) for a week! There'd be good beaches and fun and all the old exciting things we used to do like go to the bowling alley! *dances* Of course it's just in the 'thinking' stages right now, but it's looking highly likely that this is going to happen! I really, really, REALLY hope it does!

Alrighty, that's all I've got for now.
